mikro makro

carsten nicolai / mika vanio, 1996

description:

our inner eye does not discern any dimension. it perceives the structure, the motive or a feeling. normal everyday life - our personal microcosm - and the macrocosm of our existence are wired. thus the smallest core answers the question for the origin of our universe. the inner search is like the outer and the apparent poles merge in their infinity - mikro makro. suggested from sound examples of a magnet spintomograph and radio telescopic-recordings from a pulsar, the four tracks are restricted to very simple, reduced patterns and rasters -this is to understood as an attempt to reach the bottom of the ground.
